Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) trains 22 Financial Literacy Educators in Collaboration with German Sparkassenstiftung for International Cooperation (DSIK)

Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) and German Sparkassenstiftung for International Cooperation (DSIK) recently achieved a significant milestone in the field of financial literacy education. In a collaborative effort with a master trainer from Germany, LUANAR successfully trained and qualified 22 individuals to become financial literacy educators. The training session took place at Linde Motel in Mponela from March 5th to March 10th, 2023, spanning a period of five days.

This training program was conducted under the Financial Inclusion and Entrepreneurship Scaling (FInES) Project, spearheaded by the Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM). The participants of this Training of Trainers (TOT) initiative hailed from diverse sectors, including secondary school teachers, District Community Development Officers (DCDO) from the Ministry of Gender, and four LUANAR graduates.

This accomplishment not only benefits the individuals who underwent training but also showcases LUANAR's commitment to promoting financial literacy in Malawi.
