During my year of course-work period in Malawi, I had the privilege to volunteer at both the Blantyre Society for the Protection and Care of Animals (BSPCA), as well as the Lilongwe Society for the Protection and Care of Animals (LSPCA), These experiences provided opportunities to engage with fellow veterinary surgeons and veterinary students from diverse countries and of varied veterinary fields.

Kezzy Besa – Zambia

Throughout my master's program, I have gained extensive theoretical knowledge and practical experience, acquiring skills in fish disease diagnosis using methods such as ELISA and PCR, as well as conducting heavy metal analysis and dose-response experiments. Johakimu Lweyongeza Jefta - Tanzania

It has been a pleasure to be here in Malawi, a truly wonderful country known for its favorable environmental and climatic conditions. I was particularly captivated by the breathtaking lake views. I have had the opportunity to visit Mangochi and Salima, both of which provided me with the chance to admire the pristine waters of Lake Malawi.

Isaac Maganga - Tanzania

My experience at LUANAR, in general, has been incredibly enriching. I have learned a multitude of things, including new cultures and various academic subjects. Additionally, I have expanded my network extensively, connecting with lecturers, friends, and individuals from different areas, regions, and countries. This network will undoubtedly support me in engaging in activities aimed at combating pollution in our lakes. As a result, the well-being of fish enthusiasts who cherish healthy aquatic ecosystems will be safeguarded.
