LUANAR Staff Enhance Project Management Skills through Professional Project Management Training

The Africa Center of Excellence in Agricultural Policy Analysis (APA Centre) and the Africa Center of Excellence in Aquaculture and Fisheries Science (AquaFish Center) at LUANAR proudly announce the successful participation of Mr. Mark Malata (APA Center) and Mr. Yamikani Ngongonda (AquaFish Center) in an intensive 10-day Professional Project Management Training held at Capital Empire Hotel in Sandton City, Johannesburg, South Africa.

Organized by the Institute of Corporate Learning (ICL) and facilitated by renowned expert Mr. Auguster Makovere, the high-level course focused on strengthening leadership and project execution capabilities. The training covered a range of critical modules, including:

•People Management

•Strategic Management

•Negotiating for Results

•Foundations of Project Management

•Project Initiating, Planning & Scheduling

•Risk Management Planning & Control

•Project Execution


The knowledge and competencies acquired through this training are expected to enhance the implementation of projects under ACE II AF-APA and ACE II AF-AquaFish, while promoting the use of globally recognized project management practices.

In their remarks, the two participants from LUANAR centers of excllence, Mssrs. Malata and Ngongonda expressed their sincere gratitude to the Directors of their respective Centres for this opportunity. They also extend special thanks to LUANAR Vice Chancellor, Professor Emmanuel Kaunda, for his continued support of staff development initiatives.
