The Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) is pleased to announce names of candidates who have been selected to pursue various undergraduate degree programmes in the University for the 2026/2027 academic year. In total, 1,702 candidates have been selected comprising 485 (28%) females and 1,217 males (72%). The selection of candidates was based on merit as per Government policy of admitting students into Public Higher Education institutions. Affirmative action on gender and disability was also taken into consideration. Candidate’s choices and the predefined combination of subjects required for each programme was also taken into consideration during the selection process.

The University further advises that all students selected are self-sponsored non residential in line with the Government Policy of admitting students based on classroom space.
