About Dr Clara CHIDAMMODZI-BEMA

Clara is an academic and environmental advocate specializing in environmental management and sustainability. She teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses on ecosystems and biosphere stewardship, population-environment dynamics, environmental governance, transboundary natural resources management, and climate change and urban development. She contributes to Malawi’s National Ecosystem Assessment as a co-author in the Wetlands Technical Working Group and has been recognized with the Nagoya University Global Environmental Leadership Award (2016). Passionate about environmental stewardship, Clara is dedicated to advancing sustainability that balances societal needs with ecological integrity, while mentoring the next generation of environmental leaders.
