Capacity Building for Managing Climate Change in Malawi (CABMACC) is a five-year programme (May 2013 to April 2018) funded by the Royal Kingdom of Norway at the tune of NOK 60 Million to strengthen the training, research and outreach in climate change adaptation and mitigation by the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR). The goal of the programme is to improve livelihoods and food security through innovative responses and enhanced capacity for climate change adaptation. The programme objectives are:
- Increased capacity on advocacy, outreach,networking and mainstreaming of climate change within national policies and plans
- Enhanced capacity by the University towards emerging local and global climate change perspectives Increased knowledge, technologies and systems for climate change adaptation and mitigation
