About Dr Daniel SIKAWA

Daniel Sikawa is an Associate Professor in Aquatic Resources Management in the Department of Aquaculture and Fisheries Science, Faculty of Natural Resources. He has special interest in Aquaculture Production Systems and has vast experience in integrated agriculture and aquaculture systems. He obtained his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in 2010 in aquaculture and Aquatic Resources Management, from the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand and a Master of Science degree in aquaculture from the same institution in 1993. Served as Dean of Faculty of Natural Resources from 2017 to 2023. He has previously served as Deputy Dean, Faculty of Natural Resources, from September, 2012 to August, 2014. He was Head of Department, Aquaculture and Fisheries Science Department, from 2007 to 2009. He begun his academic career in 1999 but before that he worked in the Ministry of Natural Resources, Department of Fisheries as Regional Fisheries Officer (Northern Region of Malawi)
