About Mrs Marion Sanuka

Marion Sanuka is a nutritionist and lecturer with expertise in human nutrition, adolescent health, and community-based interventions. She holds a Master’s degree in Human Nutrition from LUANAR, a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture (Human Nutrition) from the University of Malawi – Bunda College, and a postgraduate certificate in Food Value Chains from the University of Applied Sciences Weihenstephan-Triesdorf in Germany. Marion has extensive experience in teaching, research, and consultancy, with a focus on adolescent nutrition, obesity prevention, and community readiness for addressing non-communicable diseases. She has contributed to numerous projects involving data collection, nutrition education, community engagement, and program design. Her work aims to strengthen evidence-based decision-making and promote healthier communities in Malawi. She is currently engaged in adolescent nutrition research as part of her PhD in Nutrition work with the University of Zambia

Marion Sanuka is currently working on the prevalence of overweight and comorbidities (hypertension, diabetes, and depression) and its prevention among adolescents in Lilongwe.
