About

Samuel Msuku is a Malawian first year student studying MSc in Agricultural and Applied Economics. His research focuses on analysing efficiency and welfare in terms of structures of institutional arrangements that shape the interactions among the different actors in the fish value chain.

The study seeks to understand how social network, collective action and other institutional structures affect the marketing of fish and their impact on the welfare of the actors. The findings from the research will help in formulation of policy frameworks that will shape fish marketing to meet demand for fish by the consumers. The results may also be used by government in their interventions to boost up fish supply in the country. He spends his leisure time mostly surfing the internet. Sometimes He likes going out for walks and shopping.
