Dr. Moses Majid Limuwa is a certified project management specialist and an accomplished aquatic sciences expert with over 15 years of experience in fisheries, aquaculture, and natural resources management. He holds a Ph.D. in International Environment and Development Studies from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences. His research focuses on small-scale fisheries, aquaculture development, impact evaluation, climate change adaptation, and sustainable livelihood systems. Currently serving as a Senior Research Fellow in Monitoring and Evaluation at LUANAR, Dr. Limuwa has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and has been instrumental in mentoring PhD and MSc students in fisheries and aquaculture. Dr. Limuwa teaches Aquaculture Economics and Marketing; Project Development and Management; Fisheries and Aquaculture Policy Development courses both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Dr. Limuwa further continues to drive research, policy, and development initiatives in the aquatic sciences sector. His leadership experience includes serving as an Acting Programmes Coordinator in which he strengthened international collaborations with institutions such as NORAD, FAO, and WorldFish Center. In addition, Dr. Limuwa is an active sportsman and the President of LUANAR Staff Sports Association (LUSSA) where he provides leadership services in spearheading the association. Dr. Limuwa is also an active member of professional organizations such as Project Management Institute (PMI), World Aquaculture Society (WAS), American Evaluation Association (AEA), International Association of Aquaculture Economics and Management (IAAEM), Aquaculture Association for Southern Africa (AASA), Aquatic Ecosystem Health and Management Society (AEHM), and a Fellow for Leadership for Environment and Development (LEAD).
