Participants of the CABMACC Research Project Technical Meeting
In the wake of CABAMCC clocking three years in July 2016, CABMACC Secretariat and the Research Project Teams, led by LUANAR’s Deputy vice chancellor, Professor Emmanuel Kaunda, gathered at LUANAR, Bunda Campus for a two day review meeting organized to appreciate the projects progress with respect to the achievement of objectives, milestones and indicators.

Upon addressing the teams, the deputy vice chancellor stressed the importance of the meeting, urging that the meeting will assist in improving the working relationship between secretariat and project teams. He advised the project teams to take heed of the comments and critics, urging that if taken seriously, that would rejuvenate the projects team’s enthusiasm.

Programmes Coordinator, Dr. Mkwamdisi added that the interaction with all project teams is expected to improve implementation of the projects in the remaining period. “This meeting will help the secretariat to best prepare for the Mid Term Evaluation and the dissemination seminar which have been tentatively scheduled for September and November 2016 respectively. It is hence important to review the research findings so far recorded by various projects.” Dr. Mkwambisi stressed. He further said that the meeting would provide a platform for learning and provide guidance on some other issues which might emerge from the project’s presentations.

More than 20 representatives from different CABMACC research projects inclusive of project principle investigators, research assistants and projects accountants participated in this very important meeting with expectations of sharing their individual projects activities, successes, challenges and plans for the remaining two years. The projects teams are expected to present a summary of their technical and financial reports within the two days.
